Deep acceptance

Joel and I went to a satsang of Jeff Foster last night.
He kept talking about deep acceptance, using a metaphor of the ocean and waves.  Just like waves on the ocean, variety of emotions or incidents could arrise, but without discriminating something unfavorable or uncomfortable from the others, just accept everything as it is.  Without judging it, just accept it.
I see similarity everywhere, though words used are different.

Goenka, a guru of Vippassana Meditation says, everything is changing and nothing in this world is eternal.  "Anicca, anicca, anicca."  So, just observe the changes without clinging.

Robert Scheifeld says, emotion is energy in motion, and incidents in our life is just creation of our Mind Machine in our story space.

John Sherman says, just "looking, looking, looking."

So, struggling or fighting against such ever-changing illusion which our mind creates is meaningless.  Once we could see, observe, and accept it, we could be freed from suffering.  Suffering is nothing but our own creation in our mind.

By the way, Jeff Foster, a young (20s) spiritual teacher, seemed to be immature.  His teaching was monotonous and redundant, and he couldn't get a point clearly, though I think he has the direct experience of the Truth.
