Proactive actions are always regarded as very good in our life, which we have been taught and learned. Proactive person usually makes a success of business. Proactive implies thinking of the future, planning the future and preparing for the future. So, Mind Machine works hard in proactive actions.
We believe that is one of the important elements for "success."
However, it is really something important for the Human Game in Phase 1 level. Is it so in the absolute Truth?
If we really live in a present moment, there is no past and no future. Past and future exist only in our mind. Whatever we have in our mind for the past and the future, it is just illusion. If we just focus on the present moment, we can only react on whatever happens NOW. When our mind "travels" the future, anxiety sometimes drives our actions. For example, we save money, buy insurances, or make backup plans to prepare for the worst scenario. It should be necessary somewhat, but it means we live a live, focusing on the future that never exist in this moment and hence is illusion.
I remember Pamela's teaching I heard a few weeks ago. She mentioned about one big business guy's story. He is CEO of a big corporation, and he's been always doing aggressive business. He had no understanding of spirituality. I don't remember why, but he went to India and met a spiritual guru. After coming back from India, his business style totally changed. When his subordinates came to him and ask for decision-making, he asked them how they felt about options or their ideas. When they answered they felt good on certain idea and he felt good about it, he let them make the decision. He started to make a decision in a moment. Then, his business has got even better than before.
Proactive is always evaluated highly and reactive is less evaluated in the business world. If I was a boss, I would surely appreciate a subordinate who proactively works than one who works reactively.
If I really live in the Truth, which is the way of the live, proactive or reactive?
It is amazing we can live in the moment, reactive to whatever arises, and still get by. I think it takes some adjustment, as we know. The life and how we live actually has to change in many ways, and take on a different orientation. Should be worth it:)
